Video DVD camcorders are a great way to make lasting memories.  The DVDs put out a great quality disk that can easily be transported and shown to others.  DVDs do not have some of the problems that VHS and other media modes have had and allows for a lot of information to be put onto one disk.  DVD camcorders are also great because they record right onto a DVD that can then be loaded onto a computer and edited and re burnt onto other DVDs.  This makes reproduction easier for home movies so that you can send the tape of your babies first steps or that game winning over time goal to all the family members even if they live out far away from you.  Prices can range from one hundred dollars to a thousand dollars.  There are many quality and performance camcorders that offer a great deal or you can go more top of the line with the best and coolest features that any camcorder could have.  It depends what you may using the camcorder for.  If it is just for taking some quick films around the house or the kids in the backyard you may not need the most expensive camcorder.  If you are planning on taking high quality videos and doing something with them then you may be more interested in going for a more top of the line model with the best graphics and abilities.
